Time Marches On

My last blog post was two years ago. TWO years! I have wanted so many times to catch my blog up, but then get so overwhelmed at doing so. I decided to just start from where we are at today. If and when I have time I will go back and post things that should really be included in the blog.

Some of the major things that have happened will be recorded later but I do want to go ahead and do a quick review. This may read like an annual Christmas letter..........

The last picture that I posted was of my baby boy, Jake. He has been such a wonderful addition to our family. He is now two years old and ALL BOY!! He loves anything and everything to do with sports and more specific......BALLS!! He has been able to name all the balls since he started talking: football, basketball, soccer ball, volleyball he loves them all. He has the best personality and seems to take after his dad in the personality department.

We decided to get a new puppy. We got a Blue Weimaraner named Kai .I wish that we would have waited until the "Little's" were older, he can be a bit much! I can't wait until he his no longer a puppy.

We also moved! We loved the home that we were in. It was HUGE and fit our family of eight wonderfully. However it was on a pretty busy street where drivers would speed by sometimes going 60 mph! On Christmas Eve Jeremy was parked out front on the side of the road waiting to pull into our driveway and was hit by a drunk driver! It totaled our Excursion and set into motion several new chapters in our lives. We decided that we needed to move and started looking at new homes that week. Finding homes with 5 or more bedrooms in our town is not easy. Having families with 1-3 children is the norm. We found a home in a neighborhood that we have loved and wanted to live in. It does not have the square footage that the other house had. But does have enough bedrooms. After living here for a few months I am so happy not tho have all of the waisted space that we had in the other home. Less cleaning!!!! This home is perfect for us. We do miss having a swimming pool and are hoping to put one in next spring. Our neighborhood is wonderful. We have great neighbors. And my children can play outside without constant supervision. My son actually keeps getting out of the house and I find him happy as can be sitting on his dad's 4-wheeler.

Jaycee started HIGH SCHOOL! Seriously, when I named this post 'Time Marches On,' I wasn't kidding! Where in the world did she get permission to grow up so fast? Jaycee is a wonderful girl. We are pleased with the choices that she makes and the example that she is to her friends. She is a cheerleader, soccer player and on the cross country team. She also attends early morning (6am) seminary where she studies the scriptures and receives a great start to her days. We honestly couldn't ask for a better role model for her little sisters.

Jayden has been busy with her singing and guitar playing. She LOVES school and the school that she attends is the Visual And Performing Arts School. Right up her alley! She has been working with a recording studio here in town and some very exciting things are in the horizon.

Jillian is such a fun loving girl. She is a talented dancer and is looking forward to working on that talent. She is always willing to help me out with things around the house. She is also attending VPA and is in the third grade. She has made some great friends this year and just had a a slumber party where we celebrated her turning 9!

Jenna started at VPA this year! She was so excited to be "big" like her sisters. She is the sweetest thing you will ever meet, I promise!

Jaxon Claire missed the cut off date for kindergarten by eight days! They just changed the date. She was devastated. But I am on cloud 9 to have her home for one more year. Although I really need to buckle down and teach her preschool stuff. We are sad that Mrs. Dana's preschool closed:(

As for me I "just keep swimming, just keep swimming." My two closest friends moved away and that has been tough on me. At first I was so busy with the move and summer time fun that it wasn't that hard. Now that things are settling down my thoughts have turned to my loss. I have spent almost twelve years with Rachel and Heather. TWELVE years of bonding. TWELVE years of laughter and tears. TWELVE years of major life decisions and contemplation. We have so many memories that I am grateful for and blessed to have. Rachel and I were pregnant together four times! Heather was pregnant three of those times with us. Our children are like sisters. They both have all girls. And I decided to step out of the box and add a BOY to the mix. Yay me!! Heather and her darling family are now eating yummy tacos in Mexico while Josh finishes up medical school. Rachel and John moved to the sticks to raise cows and chickens and children! Great moves for the both of them, new chapters in their life books.

Change is rough and dirty. It sometimes sucks everything out of you in so many ways. But just like those rough and dirty rocks that you put into the rock tumblers I am praying that I come out of this all shiny and new. As of this post I'm still tumbling away:)
